Editorial board changes
Doctors Hassan Najafi, Clement A. Hiebert, Takashi Iwa, Mark B. Orringer, and Kenneth M. Taylor rotated off the Editorial Board at the January meeting of The Society of Thoracic Surgeons. Doctor Najafi served the Journal for 20 years, both as Editorial Board member and as Associate Editor. Doctors Hiebert and Orringer served 10 years. Doctors Iwa and Taylor have completed 9-year terms. We will miss greatly their levelheaded contributions to the peer review process, and their support in all other matters related to the Editorial Board. The Society of Thoracic Surgeons and the Editorial Office are very much in their debt.
The Annalsis pleased to announce the appointment of five new individuals to the Board as of January 30, 2000: Mark K. Ferguson, MD,Professor, Department of Surgery, The University of Chicago, Chicago, Illinois T. Bruce Ferguson, Jr, MD,Departments of Surgery and Physiology, LSU Health Sciences Center, New Orleans, Louisiana William L.
