Intraoperative transesophageal echocardiography is used to adjust the
tension of a de Vega tricuspid annuloplasty suture. Leading the suture
outside the right atrium allows the annulus to be adjusted after
cardiopulmonary bypass is discontinued when cardiac function has returned.
