SR Hazelrigg and B Staller
A case is reported in which a broken sternal wire migrated such that it
penetrated the ascending aorta. Computed tomographic scan and angiography
confirmed this wire to be protruding into the ascending aorta. The wire was
removed at median sternotomy without problems.
