Surgical resection of a second primary lung carcinoma in a survivor of small cell carcinoma

Resection of a second primary lung carcinoma in a long-term survivor of
small cell lung carcinoma is reported. The patient had adenocarcinoma as
the second primary tumor and underwent lobectomy with mediastinal node
dissection. He was alive 99 months after the initial diagnosis of small
cell carcinoma and 54 months after curative pulmonary resection for his
second primary carcinoma.
