We report the long-term results after systemic-to-pulmonary artery shunts
using the internal mammary arteries in 2 patients. The systemic-
to-pulmonary artery shunts using the internal mammary arteries were created
in 2 children. Both of them are doing well 11 years and 7 years after
operation. This procedure could be a reasonable alternative to classic
Blalock-Taussig shunt for patients with diminutive pulmonary arteries as it
offered good long-term palliation.
