A 32-year-old woman, 12 weeks pregnant, presented with bilateral
spontaneous pneumothorax that did not heal with tube thoracostomy. At right
and left thoracotomy, lymphangiomyomatosis of the lung was found and
treated by pleurodesis. Lymphangiomyomatosis has been infrequently reported
in the surgical literature, even though it may befall the thoracic surgeon
to establish the diagnosis and aid in treatment.
