The role of thoracoscopy for the management of intrathoracic diseases has
expanded with advancement in endoscopic instrumentation and technology. We
report a case of thoracoscopic transdiaphragmatic biopsy of an adrenal
gland for metastatic carcinoma. The procedure was uncomplicated and the
patient was discharged on the second postoperative day. The morbidity of
traditional approaches for adrenal operation was avoided. Thoracoscopy may
be a useful approach in selected patients for adrenal operation.
