Mediastinal emphysema secondary to dental restoration

Barotrauma due to oral procedures, although widely reported in dental
publications, is rarely discussed in the medical literature. We report the
case of a 42-year-old woman with mediastinal emphysema after a mandibular
restoration and discuss management of this complication.
