Tricuspid regurgitation with postinfarction ventricular septal defect

Severe tricuspid regurgitation became apparent in 2 patients who had acute
inferior myocardial infarction after repair of a ventricular septal defect.
Subsequent tricuspid valve insertion was performed successfully in 1
patient. The pertinent literature is reviewed.
