When a pulmonary homograft is used for reconstruction of the right
ventricular outflow tract a patch or tube extension is usually required to
close the gap in the right ventriculotomy. We describe here a simple method
by which a large patch can be tailored from the homograft using the distal
main pulmonary artery and its branches.
