Utilization of the free wall of the left ventricle for repair of septal rupture after infarction
JG Coles, GG Youngson and RO Heimbecker
Two cases of ventricular septal defect following myocardial infarction are
presented. An innovative technique of free ventricular wall rotation was
used for surgical repair and is described here. The indications for the use
of this technique are discussed, and its advantages over conventional
methods of repair are reviewed.
